Looking for temporary kitchen work?

CrewPool connects people looking for work with companies hiring for events. You can register for chef and cook work, kitchen support, or several roles if your experience crosses over. Set your town and travel radius so businesses can find people close enough to take the work.

This is a registration page for the crew pool, not an advert for a particular vacancy. Joining does not guarantee a shift. A business may contact you when it has relevant work, and you decide whether the dates, location and rate suit you.

Tell us what you have actually done

Choose Chefs & cooks and select Done it if you have worked in that role. Use the optional notes to explain the kitchens you know: event catering, restaurant service, food trucks, banqueting or another setting. Your position, responsibilities and the kind of service you handled are more useful than a long list of buzzwords.

Tick the food hygiene certificate option if you hold one. Add relevant details in your notes, and be ready to discuss your experience and certificates with the hirer. The checkbox is self-declared; it does not mean CrewPool has checked the certificate.

New to kitchen work?

You can choose Happy to learn for work you are interested in but have not done. Kitchen assistants and porters have a separate choice from chefs and cooks, so you can describe your starting point honestly. Every hirer sets the experience needed for its own job.

Agree the work before you accept

Ask about the menu, kitchen setup, expected service, start and finish times, pay, breaks, travel and any accommodation. A festival kitchen and a wedding service can involve very different work. Pay is agreed directly with the business; CrewPool takes no cut of your wages.
